For lovers of all things fantasy this was a fantastic weekend market , and we are so looking forward to attending again in June 2020. ( save the date June 13th and 14th in your diaries now !)
So this was my first market in a long time , and my first ever with my wonderful little creations. ( previously only sold via individual and wholesale order)
i haven't sold my works since 2009 and have been on a long creative hiatus.
So after a few months of getting my mojo back and sewing daily i decided it was time to get out there and live my passion and share my lovingly hand made creations.
After researching many local markets , i stumbled across an advertisement for FantasyFest 2019 on Facebook seeking market stall holders. Knowing that to appreciate my items you needed to have an imagination and love for the unique and whimsical i thought, wow this is the perfect launch pad to kick off on the market scene.
The event was fantastic , loads to see with medieval jousting , archery, sword fighting displays and so much more.
Hundreds of people came dressed as fantastical beasts, characters and in medieval grab making for a smorgasbord for the eyes.
It was so much fun , my daughter and i even made our own costumes to wear . she was a woodland elf and i was in a lovely purple velvet medieval gown.
the many market goers loved all my little items with many "oh so cute" and "how adorable" comments , the kids loved playing with the little play scene i had on the table for them to touch and interact with.
the best bit was the little squeals of excitement when parents purchased items and gave them straight to their children and actually even when the young at heart purchased and cuddle their little dolls with the largest of smiles on their faces was food for the soul and totally what this weekend was all about.
